He has made a shocking decision to try and take over Forrester Creations in an effort to bring Rick (Jacob Young) down, but Liam (Scott Clifton) will need help from a familiar face in order to get exactly what he wants on The Bold and the Beautiful.

He has expressed his desire to take Rick down already to his father, Bill (Don Diamont), after filling him in on Rick's constant attacks on both Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer)-and in order to keep his cousin and girlfriend protected he feels this is the only true course of action.

"I'm thinking with Caroline designing, I can run that company and put Rick Forrester out to pasture," he says in a preview clip for the Friday, Jan. 30 episode.

However, he is going to need some major help from inside the Forrester family to do what he plans since he wouldn't have enough leverage to take over on his own-and as a Spencer, he wouldn't be able to hold the CEO position. Because of this, he will seek out an old familiar face who could help him out with his plans-his ex-wife, Steffy Forrester.

Steffy will return to L.A. to help him with his plot-taking down her cousin-who was previously responsible for the death of her twin sister-once and for all.

"So what do you think? Control of Forrester that nobody can take away, and I can make that happen," he says to her in the clip.

Combining forces, the two could be exactly what is needed to put both Rick and Maya (Karla Mosley) in their places.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
