While many tuned in to watch the New England Patriots defeat reigning Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks 28-24, some watched the big game for another huge reason-the highly-anticipated Super Bowl commercials.

Each year, some of the most original and highly talked about ads are broadcast during the biggest football game of the year, with companies spending an average of $4.5 million to get a highly coveted spot during the broadcast-meaning big stars, huge concepts, and a lot of talk.

And while some ads managed to hit the mark this year, several others fell a bit short of expectations, or caused some major outrage. Here are a ranking of ten of the most-talked about ads from the 2015 game:

10. Cure Auto's "#DontTouchYourBalls/ #LeaveYourBallsAlone"

In addition to GoDaddy's ad about selling a puppy, Cure Auto had their initial ads pulled at the last minute-resulting in this pairing which seemed to poke fun at the recent DeflateGate scandal. While those who didn't care for the Patriots still being allowed to play despite what happened might have gotten a kick at the dig, the commercial just seemed a bit too poor in taste overall, and was kind of boring for the Super Bowl.

9. SquareSpace's 'Dream With Jeff"

Square Space, a company allowing customers to build any website they wanted, went with ads featuring Oscar Winner Jeff Bridges. Considering Bridges should have been a coup for the company, the ad could have been a lot better. This was just boring.

8. T-Mobile's" #KimsDataStash"

Though this wasn't Kim Kardashian's first run at a Super Bowl ad, and thankfully, it wasn't overtly sexual as some of her others have been. But this ad, which pretty much recounted her fabulous life and reminded viewers she was rich and famous was unnecessary. Everyone knows she's rich and famous and has a fabulous life. There was no need to put it into a Super Bowl commercial.

7. Carl's Jr. "All-Natural" with Charlotte McKinney

The burger chain is known for their pretty sexually explicit commercials, but this one has caused some huge outrage. In an advertisement for the first ever Fast Food burger with no antibiotics, the model appears to be walking around in a public space completely naked-with several parts of her body referenced in a sexual manner (including someone pinching tomatoes), and men's reactions which appeared to reference the way they would handle their attraction-was something that may have gone too far. While the concept made sense-McKinney says in the ad that she loves going "All Natural"-it was just a step too far.

6. Esurance's Breaking Bad Sequel

Breaking Bad is still considered one of the best and most beloved shows of all-time, and while tying the show into a Super Bowl ad was a smart move with the premiere of its prequel Better Call Saul  coming soon, it appeared more like it was poking fun at both Bryan Cranston and his iconic Walter White than celebrating them both. The ad could have been carried out just a little better.

5. Coca Cola's #MakeItHappy

This was a great commercial by the soda retailer which had a great message attached. Attacking bullying and negativity, and giving off an "It Gets Better" vibe, it was the kind of spot which should encourage more soda sales.

4. Snickers 'Brady Bunch" Ad

Very few ads went the comedic route this year, focusing more on serious messages. Snickers once again used their successful "Eat A Snickers" idea using celebrities as grouchy versions of people who were hungry isn't very original anymore-but they always find a way to keep it fresh. This time, one which utilizes Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi as grumpy Marcia and Jan Brady's using two classic moments from the once beloved family sitcom, was a smash hit.

3. Budweiser's "Lost Puppy"

Once again, Budweiser, had a solid hit and homerun with their feel-good ads. This one could have easily gone wrong and sad-but the love between our unnamed farmer's puppy and his Clydesdale horses hits the heart in so many ways.

2. The NFL's "No More" Campaign

It was a tough year for the NFL after the way it handled the Ray Rice scandal was called into question, but this ad, which called for an end to domestic violence in the home, was a delicate way of handling a controversial topic and showing a softer side to Football.

1. Always "#LikeAGirl"

Another ad which attacked a sensitive issue, this one was a major hit with viewers, who loved that the feminine hygiene company decided to tackle the negativity behind the phrase of doing something "Like a Girl"-and encouraging viewers to turn it into something positive.
