Fans will have an all-new reason to love the CBS series, Stalker, now that actress Mira Sorvino has joined the cast!

Is 'Stalker' One Of The Three TV Shows Renewed By CBS?

On Wednesday, Mira Sorvino took to Twitter to announce that she has joined the cast of Stalker and that it is "so fun."

Entertainment Weekly reported that Sorvino's role on the show will be a recurring one where she will play a character named Vicky Gregg.

Gregg is a "well-respected FBI agent who began her career at TAU," according to the site. She will be asked to help out at TAU as things get worse with Beth's stalker.

Viewers and other people who work on the show all took to the news well and congratulatory.

The Stalker Writers Twitter handle tweeted that they are "Very excited to welcome @MiraSorvino to #STALKER, recurring as a TAU alum who can chew up stalked and spit them out..."

Sorvino then tweeted later on in the day, a photo of herself stitched next to a photo of the set that said, "Loving my first day!"

Kevin Williamson of the show also tweeted Sorvino a welcome. "So exited to have @MiraSorvino join the Stalker unit. Welcome to our Stalker family."

Sorvino clearly appreciated the warm welcome as her response was: "Thank you, sounds so sweet that way!"

Sorvino definitely seems to be enjoying the new role as she tweeted that she is "looking forward to the #Banshee viewing bash."

Stalker is a psychological thriller that follos stalking cases that are investigated by LAPD's Threat Assessment Unit.

Stalker airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
