"She's keenly interested in helping families get stronger, helping children build their emotional well-being," explained the center's chief executive Sir Tony Hawkhead. "She has a particularly interest in families that are vulnerable."

Kate was raised by self-made wealthy parents, but her dedication to underprivileged children in unwavering. While Kate's own nature influences her charity work, Hawkhead believes that motherhood has also played a role in her pursuits.

"There's no training manual with children," he noted. "It doesn't matter who you are and what background you come from, there are huge common factors when we become parents."

Kate is already mother to one-year-old Prince George. She and husband Prince William will welcome their second child when Kate gives birth this April.

William and Kate spent the last few weeks in the Caribbean with Kate's parents. Now that they have returned to England, however, William will continue with his education as Kate embarks on more visits for the charity work she had begun in January.
