After the couple ended a 14-year relationship this summer, Johnny Depp bought a parting gift for his ex Vanessa Paradis - a $4.4 million Hollywood home.

The sprawling property is on famed Los Angeles roadway Mulholland Drive, which was popularized by the 2001 David Lynch film of the same name and is home to famous residents like Jack Nicholson and Pamela Anderson.

The location will be convenient because Paradis and Depp's two children, 13-year-old Lily Rose and 9-year-old Jack, attend school in the area.

The property is a perfect location for a busy showbiz family, according to real estate agent Christopher Westley, who did not participate in the sale of this property.

"You can be on the strip or at the studios in 10 minutes," he said. "The views of the city are beautiful but it's not in your face."

The Mediterranean-style Hollywood Hills property boasts an outdoor swimming pool, beamed ceilings, several winding staircases and chandeliers throughout.

Depp and Paradis began dating in 1998 and officially announced they had called it quits in June of this year. Paradis opened up about feeling unhappy in a relationship in an interview with Harper's Bazaar conducted two days before their separation was made public.

"Sometimes you could be in an unhappy relationship; you are very much in love with someone, but it's making you unhappy and you think things can change and you can work it out," Paradis told the magazine.
