A new report reveals that fans might have to wait a while before they hear any news about Sinister Six as it seems like Sony might be putting it on the back burner for a bit.

Sinister Six Set To Release November 2016?

IGN reports that while pre-production for the movie is on, the schedule for it has been pushed back a bit. This comes with the news of Spider Man joining the Marvel Universe.

Even though, little has been trickling through about the preproduction of Sinister Six, the producers of Sony Brazil recently teased the making of the movie for fans.

Recently, the studio posted images of the Vulture's wings and Doctor Octopus' tentacles via their Facebook page to tease fans about the making of.

The International Business Timessourced a tweet that stated that the movie would be shot in Vancouver. The Twitter user was excited about spotting Andrew Garfield playing Spider Man in the movie. In this instalment the superhero combats a group of supervillains from the Marvel franchise. The report went on to reveal that the information was sourced from someone who had worked on the Planet of the Apes movie.

The villains are likely to be the same as in the comic book -- Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Sandman. Doctor Octopus is the mastermind behind the plot to rue Spiderman's day, and seeks out villains who have encountered the superhero in the past and are out for vengeance. In the original plot, the team kidnaps Betty Brant and aunt May to get Spiderman's attention, and then lure him into combat.

Information about the movie is under lock and key right now, and the producers haven't given anything away yet. Even the account of the Twitter user who casually revealed the filming location has been deactivated now, which means the studio doesn't want any leaks, and is being extremely cautious.

The last movie in the franchise was the Amazing Spider-Man, which starred Garfield and Emma Stone in the lead parts.
