"The challenges children face in the U.K. today could often feel overwhelming," declared the soon-to-be mother of two. "Both Prince William and I have seen that many young people are struggling to cope with the impact of bullying, domestic violence, family breakdowns, and more."

Without support," she continued, "the effects of these challenges can be traumatic, leading to serious issues such as anxiety, depression, addition, and self-harm."

Middleton knows what it means to be a parents. Her son, Prince George, is already one and she has another child on the way this spring. The 33-year-old believes that parents need to create an environment for their children in which they feel safe asking for help.

"We need to help young people and their parents understand that it's not a sign of weakness to ask for help," she declared. "A child's mental health is just as important as their physical health and deserves the same quality of support."

Middleton is expected to continue her campaign for children in need throughout the month. She will give birth to her second child in April.
