'The Mentalist' Seasons 7 Finale: Is Lazarus Someone From Jane's Past? Bruno Heller Teases Serial Killer's Identity [VIDEO]
The Mentalist's Lazarus will not be a familiar face.
Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), Lisbon (Robin Tunney), Cho (Tim Kang), Wylie (Joe Adler), and Abbot (Rockmond Dunbar) will spend the final episode tracking down the mysterious serial killer and, when his true identity is finally revealed, Lazarus will not be someone from the team's past.
"It's not someone you've met before," series creator Bruno Heller informed TV Line.

Just because this isn't a grudge match, it doesn't mean the case will be any less intense.
"As Robin [Tunney] pointed out to me, I don't think we've done any other serial killers over the years as strongly as this one, except for Red John, so it's very much a 'full circle' kind of event," Bruno explained.
When all is said and done, when the killer is locked away and the paperwork is filed, Lisbon and Jane will receive the greatest reward - a long anticipated wedding. Jane will propose to Lisbon at the end of "Brown Shag Carpet," and the pair will tie the knot in "White Orchids."
