The formerly mobile Patrick Jane is putting down roots on The Mentalist.

Jane (Simon Baker) will still be contemplating leaving the FBI as The Mentalist ends it's run, but the former carnie won't take off in his airstream. Instead, the observant genius will spend his days fixing up a ramshackle country cabin for himself and Lisbon (see video below).

When Jane drops this news, Lisbon (Robin Tunney) will be slightly concerned. After Jane's little "Byzantium" disappearing act, the suit needs a little reassurance that her boyfriend won't suddenly ride off into the Texas sunset.

"I have needs, too." Lisbon says as she surveys Jane's new purchase in a sneak peek for "Brown Shag Carpet." "I need to know that you're not going to run away again...I need to know that you're committed to this, to us."

Getting married is the exact definition of commitment, and it looks like this conversation may spark Jane's upcoming proposal. Meanwhile, Jane must close at least one more case at the FBI by tracking down a dangerous serial killer by the name of Lazarus.
