In a recent interview, Dwayne Johnson, who plays Luke Hobbs in Furious 7, spoke to Mid-Day about making the movie after Walker's death. He spoke about the dilemma that faced them about how to finish the film.

"It was one of the most difficult things we had all gone through. It affected the movie in that it completely shut it down, which was the right and appropriate thing to do," he said. "You're left with, 'What do we do next? What's the most appropriate step? What's the most respectful step?'"

He went on to add that he feels they approached the predicament in the best way possible, by taking some time off to recollect their composure, and then respectfully finishing the project Walker was part of.

"We did what I feel was the best thing, which was create a little bit of space, make a little bit of time and regroup, pull our wagons back and then move forward with how we're going to make the best movie possible, with the intention of respecting Paul and his legacy," he said.

Furious 7 will hit theaters in April 3, 2015.
