Marc Anthony might have had the opportunity to marry some of the most beautiful women in the world, but it doesn't look like he thinks too highly of himself. The Latin crooner recently opened up in a new interview, calling himself 'ugly' while also dishing on his relationship with Jennifer Lopez.

According to Page Six on Tuesday, Anthony told Meredith Viera on her talk show that his father used to call him ugly while growing up.

He said, "My dad told me early on, he said, 'Son, we're both ugly.' I swear to God, he says it to this day. He said, 'You work on your personality. It builds character.'"

Even though Anthony and Lopez called it quits back in 2011, the two are still on good terms while they co-parent their 7-year-old twins, Emme and Max.

As far as what happened in their marriage, Anthony said, "I know what it takes and I know her very, very well. I just did everything in my power to be supportive of her."

But as far as what happened during their divorce, Anthony is keeping tight lipped.

He said, "I don't talk about it much as a whole, I just think that's private. I really do and I never have and I'm not sure I ever will. I don't think it's for public consumption. It's hard enough as it is."
