TMZ reported Wednesday that 19-year-old Puhar, her 23-year-old boyfriend Jonathan Alvarado and 21-year-old Jusmar Gonzaga-Garcia were shot and killed by 19-year-old Emmanuel Jesus Rangel Tuesday night.

The triple homicide happened inside Alvarado's Charlotte, N.C. home.

Sources told the site that a friend of Puhar's walked into the house to find Puhar's dead body along with her boyfriend's dead body before calling the police.

The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that the police revealed the friend arrived at the house around 5 p.m. ET.

The friend didn't see the third victim's body. The third victim is apparently Puhar's boyfriend's best friend and roommate.

The friend that walked into the house saw money scattered about, which has led police to believe that the murders were drug related and the victims knew the killer.

One of the sources claimed Puhar had only been dating Alvarado for a few months.

Rangel has been arrested and charged with three counts of first degree murder.

The New York Daily News also reported that authorities are investigating whether the murders are related to a fatal shooting early Sunday at a hotel in Matthews, N.C., in which police found one man dead and a second seriously wounded around 1 a.m. ET in the parking lot of a Microtel Inn, some 14 miles southeast of Charlotte.
