They're already in for what is sure to be a surprising season after half of the teams were signed up for an extreme blind date with a total stranger, but all of the teams participating on season 26 of The Amazing Race will be in for a big shock when they depart on their first leg.

Both the dating couples and the blind dates were given a huge surprise at the starting line when host Phil Keoghan warned them about what they would encounter during their introductory leg.

"If you win the first leg of the Race, you will win the Express Pass," Keoghan tells the teams in a sneak peek clip for the episode.

However, the teams cheers over winning the coveted prize are soon turned to looks of surprise-and in some cases, worry-after Keoghan reveals the next half of what they can expect.

"And that's a good thing, because the Express Pass will get you out of trouble if you need t," he continues. "As a matter of fact, there is a U-turn on this first leg."

This marks the first time in Race history where teams faced the dreaded U-Turn-where another team, after the Detour task, can pick any other team in the race and force them to complete both Detour tasks instead of just one-in the first leg.

Another first this season, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will include the teams being equipped with selfie cams, allowing them to take photos during their travels for the first time, with the selfies being shown on the air during the broadcast.

The Amazing Race premieres Feb. 25 at 9:30 p.m. on CBS.
