After the winter finale of CBS hit show Stalker, fans took to Twitter to beg the channel not to cancel the series.

'Stalker' Fans React To Perry's Death On Twitter

On Wednesday, TV Series Finale reported that the ratings for the CBS thriller-drama were never good, but have gotten worse as the show went on.

The cop thriller debuted last October with a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic with 9.07 million viewers, which was not a good start. The ratings drop by 10-14% in the second week.

Now that the season just ended, it turns out that the last episode has a 1.2 rating with only 6.7 million viewers in the aforementioned demographic. The online report suggested that with other cop thrillers on the station, it is highly unlikely Stalker will return for a second season.

With speculation that the show will be cancelled, fans of the show have taken to Twitter to beg for CBS to keep the show around for another season.

One user tweeted: "Please @CBX don't cancel @StalkerCBS."

Another said, "@StalkerCBS # I watched the episode on On Demand today. Great show! I watched all season and enjoyed it! Hope the show returns!! Please."

"@StalkerCBS @CBS better not cancel it, this show is sooooo good!!" said another fan of the show.

Another fan tweeted: "@StalkerCBS TY for this amazing episode hope it's not over really love this show." keeps better & better can't just stop there #Stalker."

"@StalkerCBS LOVE this show! I hope they renew for season 2!!!" tweeted another.

One hoped the show didn't end the way it did: "@StalkerCBS Please don't tell me this was the end all. There has to be more episodes or another season for sure, right? That's just wrong."
