Her life might look perfect on the outside, but according to Tamra Judge, things have been rather tough for the blonde beauty behind the scenes. The Real Housewives of Orange County star recently admitted that her custody battle with her ex-husband Simon Barney was so intense that she would sometimes cry herself to sleep at night.

Speaking to Rumor Fix on Monday, Judge says she had a hard time sleeping knowing that the tabloid media was calling her a "monster mom."

She said, "Simon, Sidney and I talked and she told me she wanted her dad's house to be her main residence. She is 16 years old and can chose where she wants to live. We honored her wishes. We love our daughter and her happiness is what matters the most. I've never told her she was not welcomed in my house because of her relationship with her father. I want her to have a healthy relationship with both of us."

Judge also revealed that she and her daughter Sidney are working together on their relationship while attending therapy sessions every week.

She said, "We continue to work on our family. Divorce is hard on everyone. It is not uncommon for teenage girls to go through hard times with their mothers. I'm not going to lie, this whole transition has hurt me dearly. As a mother my kids are my life. I have had to sit back and read so many false stories about my family. It takes a really strong person to pull out of this OK. I'm not sure I am OK yet."

Judge added, "It's a shame that RadarOnline tries so hard to try and ruin people's lives with untrue accusations." It's especially hurtful when she's labeled as a "Monster Mom" - "That was the most devastating thing for me. So hurtful I would cry myself to sleep at night."

The next season of the Real Housewives of Orange County returns to Bravo this spring.
