A recent report reveals that actor Anthony Sherwood will be joining the cast of Beauty and the Beast playing a new character, Detective O'Hara in the season 3 of the CW series.

New Stills Of Vincent and Catherine From Season 3 Revealed 

SpoilerTV reported this information, although no other details were revealed. It seems like Sherwood will play the second new detective. TVLine had previously that Tess (Nina Lissandro) won't be Catherine's partner as she rejoins the NYPD. Instead she will be paired up with a new character, Harris, who will be in his late twenties and will apparently not be very pleased to be working with her because of her infamous past. Not details about who will be playing Harris have been revealed yet.

Recently, director Stuart Gillard announced that filming for season 4 of Beauty and the Beast will begin in May.

Gillard had previously revealed that filming would begin in June.

"What a Valentine present S 4!! You #beasties did it. You never gave up! We will start shooting around June.keep you posted#batb" he tweeted. 

Deadline reported that the CW has renewed the series for another chapter. Along with this, the network also announced that season 3 would premiere on May 21.

The season 2 finale, Deja Vu aired on The CW at 8 p.m. on July 7.
