Her love life is often scrutinized in the press because of her highly-publicized relationships with both Cara Delevingne and Zac Efron in 2014, but now, Michelle Rodriguez is admitting another shocking fact about her life.

Does Michelle Rodriguez Have A New Love Interest?

The Fast and Furious actress was stopped by a TMZ cameraman in L.A. on March 10 and seemed surprised when he brought up her past religion as a child-being a Jehovah's Witness-but chose not to ignore the cameraman's questions, instead addressing them head-on.

"Real quick, at what age did you give up being a Jehovah's Witness?" he asked her.

"I was 13," she replies.

"13? What made you want to do it?" he asked.

"I just don't like Elitism," she said after a minute.

And while the TMZ staff were shocked to learn that Rodriguez had been a Jehovah's Witness in the past, they were impressed by her answer, which appeared to be a dig at the seemingly controversial religion.

"Oh wow, took a little stab at it too," one member of the staff notes.

However, the shock that Rodriguez had been a Jehovah's Witness is nothing new, as the actress has been open about growing up in the religion in the past, and admitted to abandoning it as well.

She also admitted in the past that the religion caused conflicts within her family when she decided to become an actress.

"A lot of my friends were really happy for me, and there were others that were jealous. And my mom's a Jehovah's Witness, so she wasn't too happy," she said during an interview in 2003. "It was more along the lines of 'They're using you.' I'm part of the devil's tool. But my brothers are really happy for me."
