The creators of The Good Wife teased the possibility of spinoff for CBS legal drama at a special event in Paley Fest.

Showrunners Talk Possibility Of Kalinda Dying In Upcoming Episode

Cast members Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, and Matt Czuchry and showrunner Robert and Michelle King were at the event for the special interaction. Deadline reported from the event. When an audience member asked why there hadn't been any talk about a spinoff for the CBS series which was so successful, the Kings didn't rule out the possibility.

"This show has a very intelligent, specific audience that is not as wide-ranging as CBS would like," Robert said. "The difficulty is they want shows that have a wider appeal," he went on to add that they would be open to the idea.

Diane And Cary To Question Alicia's Motives In Season 6

"Talk to CBS. Maybe they'd be up for it," King told the audience member. So we guess if fans push for this, they might get CBS to accede.

Here's the official synopsis for an upcoming episode, titled 'False Feed':

"When Frank Prady decides to go after Governor Florrick as a campaign tactic, Alicia is faced with the decision of whether or not to attack Peter's record as well. Also, when Florrick/Agos/Lockhart take on the case of a man paralyzed by a malfunctioning gun created on a 3D printer, they call on Kurt to testify as an expert witness, which leads to a rift between Diane and her husband."

The Good Wife returned after a brief hiatus on March 1.

False Feed will air on CBS on March 15.
