The number of television shows opening up a dialogue on the transgender community continues to grow, with TLC's newest planned docu-series on transgender teen activist Jazz Jennings set to premiere on the cable channel this summer.

The network unveiled their plans for the show in a press release, announcing that the series would consist of 11 episodes, and is currently being worked with the title All That Jazz.

"We know that families come in all shapes and sizes, but at their core, they are all about love, acceptance, and support. Only TLC can tell this family's story in a way that celebrates and demystifies difference in an effort to help create a world without prejudice," Marjorie Kaplan, Group President, TLC & Animal Planet, said in a statement.

"Jazz's story is universal, yet unique, and we're proud to partner with her family to share it with TLC's audience," Nancy Daniels, General Manager of TLC added. "Jazz may be known as an author and activist, but she's first and foremost a teenage girl with a big, brave heart, living a remarkable life."

The show is set to follow 14-year-old Jazz as she enters adolescence and learns to navigate how a transgender teen approaches dating, sleepovers, and fighting off male puberty, as she prepares for high school.

The show is also set to feature Jazz's supportive family system, consisting of her parents, Greg and Jeanette, older sister Ari, older brother Griffen and Sander, and maternal grandparents, Jack and Jacky.

No official premiere date has been announced for the series.
