Many cast members from FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show are not at liberty to say if they will be returning for season 5, titled Hotel.

Jessica Lange announced during Sunday night's PaleyFest panel for AHS: Freak Show that she was in fact "done" with the horror anthology series. But are other noteworthy cast members leaving the show as well?

None of the actors explicitly confirmed if they would be returning for season 5, offering up a variety of answers to E! News.

Matt Bomer Checks In to 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

"I think I'll be around," said Denis O'Hare, who seemed to be most confident of all the cast. "I think I'll be in the sandbox. I don't know anything until I know it."

Michael Chiklis admitted that show co-creator Ryan Murphy is an "old friend" and that he would definitely come back if he needed him.

"Such a great cast, how could you say no to that," Chiklis added. "I don't know. They're very, very quiet about these things!"

Finn Wittrock certainly made an impression as Dandy in Freak Show and he said he would be interested in exploring a new character if he came back.

"No idea. I honestly don't know," he admitted, when asked if he would return. "Maybe I'll find out tonight. I would definitely be interested."

Evan Peters, who is the only male actor to appear in all four seasons so far, said that he would "love to come back for another season," but he too could not say anything.

Sarah Paulson is set to star in another Murphy production this year called American Crime Story so she may be too busy with that to play a major character in Hotel. However, she would still like to be in AHS.

"I am not at liberty to say. I wanna stay in the family absolutely," she said. "Until Ryan Murphy makes certain things things I have nothing to say."

Finally, legendary actress Kathy Bates said that nothing has been confirmed as far as her returning for Hotel.

"Umm no. I can't tell you. I'm not confirmed," she said. "I would always be interested 'cause I've had so much fun the last couple of years."

Only three actors have been confirmed so far for American Horror Story: Hotel: Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson. It remains to be seen if any of the show's previous cast members will return or if they are starting over fresh with new stars.

American Horror Story: Hotel is expected to premiere in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
