The History Channel series is currently in the midst of airing season 3 and has yet to officially announce its impending fourth season. However, the production wheels are already turning in Ireland where a casting call for extras went out on Friday.

Vikings is looking for a minimum of 8000 extras of all ethnicities in the Dublin and County Wicklow areas, according to Project Casting. Amongst those needed are fishermen, metal workers, skilled swards people, arches, bowmen, sailors, and those with punk style haircuts.

Season 4 will begin filming at the end of April, and may cater to a hefty episode order. While the first three seasons contained a maximum of 10 episodes, The Sunday Times reported that investors have compiled €45 million to fund 16 episodes.

As fans wait for the History Channel to confirm Vikings return, viewers can follow the Norsemen as they head to Paris in "Born Again," "Paris," and "To the Gates!"
