While there's been constant speculation if celebrity couple Sean Penn and Charlize Theron were planning to get married, it appears that may not be happening after all.

Are Charlize Theron's Friends 'Urging Her To Think Twice' About Marrying Sean Penn?

On Saturday, Daily Mail posted a photo of the couple at Los Angeles restaurant Giorgio Baldi as they sat in their car. And the question on if these two are engaged ought to create some more speculation since Theron was spotted without a ring on her left hand.

As Penn can be seen in the driver's seat with a hand on the steering wheel, his girlfriend was in the passenger seat as the visor covered her face. But it didn't really matter if her face was shown since it's her left hand that sparked the curiosity considering she didn't have an engagement ring on her finger.

This gives the impression that these two might not have any specific plans to get married at this point especially if Theron was ring-less right in front of her beau.

There was a previous report from Us Weekly though that stated the two "decided to take their relationship to the next level" even though "there's no ring."

This report was from January, but it's still questionable if Penn and Theron are looking to tie the knot someday.

An insider told E! News that the couple "have made a commitment to be together for the rest of their lives."
