Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) might be reconsidering their line of work as they prepare for a new baby on Fox's Bones.

Brennan's Second Pregnancy Played For Comedic Effect On 'Bones'?

Deschanel spoke with TVLine this week ahead of Thursday's midseason premiere of Bones. In the interview, she addressed a variety of topics, including Brennan's pregnancy and how she is handling things at work.

Despite Brennan's love of her job, she may want to consider a different job that doesn't put her in harm's way, as Deschanel said.

"You don't see them like applying for other jobs. [Laughs] It's clearly on Brennan's mind, for sure, and Booth's probably, as well, but I just want to speak for Brennan," Deschanel said.

"Other characters are also reconsidering their jobs. It's only natural when you're expanding your family and your job has put all your lives in danger. Is it all worth it? You start questioning all that. She's a physical anthropologist. She's also a cultural anthropologist. She's had experiences on archaeological digs, as well as studying different cultures. These are all... jobs that would put her and her family less in danger that she certainly would be considering at this time."

Deschanel noted that Brennan is definitely aware that she not only bringing another person into the world, but that she and Booth operate in a dangerous world.

She also said that Brennan becomes aware of Booth's relapse in his gambling addiction, which will sure affect things between the couple. Fans can only hope that the pair do not become too distracted with their personal lives at the expense of their careers.

Bones is set to return for the second half of season 10 on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
