Jamie Dornan might have millions of fans from around the world thanks to his role as Christian Grey in the box office hit 50 Shades of Grey, but it doesn't look like everyone is impressed with his work. Chart topper Madonna threw some subtle shade at the Irish actor - but not because of his portrayal of Mr. Grey, and instead for his role in the hit BBC crime drama, The Fall.

In an interview with Us Weekly (via Her.ie) this week, Madonna made it clear that while she loves the show (which is currently available on Netflix), she gives props to another actor in the series.

She said, "I don't really watch TV. I only like two shows True Detective and an Irish series called The Fall and I'm not embarrassed about them. Many people say, "The Fall with Jamie Dornan" but I say "The Fall with Gillian Anderson". She's so good."

This isn't the first time Dornan has been shaded by a famous celebrity. Kim Cattrall of Sex and the City fame says the Irish hunk simply "doesn't do" anything for her.

According to Ireland's RTE News on Monday, Cattrall would have preferred to see someone else in the Christian Grey role.

She said, "Maybe it's my age, but he doesn't look like a man to me. He looks like a young boy. I like men to look like men. I saw the preview and you know they say in three seconds you can tell if you find someone attractive or not? Well, I just thought, 'no.'"

Cattrall added, "Now, if he were Brendan Gleeson - well, there's a little something going on there, you know, the twinkle in the eye... "
