Fans will still need to wait a few months before they can finally witness Magic Mike: XXL in all its glory in theaters, but one of the film's new stars is promising that the wait will be worth it.
In an Interview with Cosmopolitan, Elizabeth Banks dished on her largely unknown role in the film, and gave some details about just what fans could expect on screen-specifically from Joe Manganiello's Big D-K Richie character.
"...Joe's routine is really amazing," she said, "Technically difficult. You know, he hurt his arm. He busted up his arm doing it. When you see what it is, you'll be like, 'Oh yeah, I would break my arm doing that too.' He's doing full acrobatics in there. It's crazy."
And though she didn't give too many specifics, Banks did reveal a portion of what her role would entail.
"They're on a road trip, they're headed to the convention, and I basically run the convention. It's my convention. I'm the boss," she revealed. "I have such a small role, but I'm there to welcome and put up some obstacles for them doing their show. They have to convince me to let them perform."
But even though her role is a minor one, Banks did get to have some fun action in the film-including engaging in a lip-lock with one of her co-stars-though she won't admit who it was, meaning fans will have to see the movie if they want to know who she got steamy with on-screen.
"I can't say," she said when pressed for more details.
Magic Mike: XXL opens July 1.
