Shonda Rhimes is slamming a new 'ignorant' article that proposes the idea that racial diversity in television is becoming too much.

Is Shonda Rhimes Planning To Kill Off A Character On One Of Her Shows?

On Tuesday, Deadline published an article titled "TV Pilots 2015: The Year of Ethnic Castings-About Time of Too Much of a Good Thing?", that noted the racially diverse castings going on in the television world.

The shocking twist came with the outlet noted, "Instead of opening the field for actors of any race to compete for any role in a color-blind manner, there has been a significant number of parts designated as ethnic this year, making them off-limits for Caucasian actors."

Shonda Rhimes Fires Back At 'Scandal' Critics On Twitter

The piece claims, "the pendulum might have swung a bit too far" in regards to the racial diversity seen on television and Rhimes is not having it.

Rhimes took to Twitter to share her reaction after readying the article and she believes that article is so ignorant that she shouldn't even be bothered.

"1st Reaction: HELL NO. Lemme take off my earrings, somebody hold my purse! 2nd Reaction: Article is so ignorant I cant even be bothered," the show writer wrote on Twitter.

This isn't the first time Rhimes has received backlash for her work. Earlier this month, Scandal aired a Ferguson-inspired episode that focused on a white D.C. police officer wrongfully killing an unarmed black teen.

The episode, which was inspired by the Michael Brown Jr. shootings caused an uproar on social media and while some described episode as riveting, others weren't too fond of it.
