In a recently published interview, Jason Clarke gives us the low-down on John Connor in Terminator: Genisys and how he is going to lie at the heart of matters in this movie.

Cause Of Warped Timeline In Terminator: Genisys Revealed

On March 26, Screen Rant posted an interview with Clarke from a visit to the set of Genisys from last year. Clarke, who portrays John Connor in the movie, spoke about how the character will be very different of other versions fans have seen in the movie, from the child, played by Eddie Furlong in Terminator 2 to Christian Bale in Terminator: Salvation.

The actor joked about how first off his appearance would be very different, as he will have longer hair than Bale's character and will be older than Furlong.

John Connor To Be The Villain In Terminator Genisys According To Leaked Script?

"John is at the heart of what this conundrum is. Anytime you've gone beyond, say, the apocalypse we know that is always hanging over us, there is a battle for who is going to run the shop," he said. "Where do we want technology to go? What is it going to be? And what are we giving over?"

Clarke emphasized how John Connor was probably going to play the most pivotal role in the film, and how he brought more to the table as an actor.

"I truly do say that John is psychologically at the heart of that. It's what makes it a role that freaks me out each day. It's not just me," he said. "You've got a guy like Christian Bale, who is a friend and a great actor. It's not just to meet these things that have been set up, but also, there's a lot to do. I'm not just standing there being stoic. (Laughs) No, Alan [Taylor] is slapping me around a lot."

But the most interesting and exciting part of the interview involved Clarke revealing how there was potential for John Connor to pulverised in Genisys, and he would be quite vulnerable, stating that, "There's room for him to be really destroyed, knocked about."
