Outlander fans can expect a deep journey through the heart of Scotland when the series returns to Starz this spring.

Claire & Jamie's Next Big Fight On 'Outlander' To Address Treatment Of Women

This week Outlander had its UK premiere and on Wednesday the cast stopped to discuss the show with the Daily Record.

While they mostly discussed the whirlwind of the program's rising fame, they did throw in a few comments about the upcoming return.

"Scotland is such a huge part of the show," noted Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser on the show. "We wanted to be as authentic as possible and bring as much Scottish culture to the show as we could and we've done that and so many of the locations are just terrific."

Show runners have worked hard to film on location and get all the details just right, delighting fans and boosting tourism for the region.

While this exploration of Scottish culture might be great for the cast, it almost certainly points to bad news for the newlywed Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe). More Scotland for the second half of the second means that Claire is still stuck in the past.

Will she ever see Frank again? Will cultural divides prove too much for her?

Despite any trials she might face moving forward this year one thing is for certain: She's not going home anytime soon.

Outlander will return on Starz for the remainder of its first season on Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
