A mysterious casting call for The CW's The Originals last week suggests perhaps Freya's child might be alive after all.

Klaus Will Be As Ruthless As Ever On 'The Originals' Next Week

Recently on The Originals Freya (Riley Voelkel) confided in her brother, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), that she'd tried to escape their aunt, Dahlia (Claudia Black), centuries ago by poisoning herself. While she awoke to find that Dahlia's magic had prevented Freya from dying, the poison had supposedly claimed the life of her unborn child…or did it?

Is a daughter born to Freya secretly alive?

Klaus Sits Down With Freya For A Little Family Reunion On 'The Originals'

On March 22 Project Casting announced that The CW drama was looking for an adult female actor to serve as a stand in for a child actor on set on Flovilla, Ga.

Little is said of the appearance required for the part, though it was recommended that candidates send in serious photos for consideration.

Perhaps a child had been born all those centuries ago and Dahlia hid the girl away before Freya woke up. Freya has remained strong and determined throughout her brief time on the series, though the reintroduction of her child could bring about new heartbreak, weakening her or perhaps driving her as Dahlia comes to claim Klaus and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter.

Of course nothing is certain with so little information, but it is possible that some surprises could be coming for the finale this spring.

The Originals will return on The CW for the remainder of its second season on Monday, April 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
