While their new marriage won't always be easy, it will strengthen the bond between Claire and Jamie on Starz's Outlander this season.

Claire Could Remain Trapped In Scotland For A Long Time On 'Outlander'

"I always thought it was fascinating that they don't fall in love until they are married," noted executive producer Ron Moore as he spoke with Scotland Today on Monday.

Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) were only married for a short time before the show's midseason finale last fall, but as the season continues this spring their relationship will begin to evolve.

Claire & Jamie's Big Disagreement On 'Outlander'

"Their relationship really begins to expand as they get to know each other," noted Heughan.

Of course the pair won't always see things the same way. Claire is from a different time, which gives her a completely different perspective on the world in comparison to that of her husband.

Recently E! reported that the couple will disagree on the treatment of woman in the 18th century, which will surely have an impact on their relationship.

When they aren't fighting with each other, the newlyweds will spend much of the season battling much bigger obstacles. There is the ruthless Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), who is determined to destroy them, and Claire's husband, Frank (also Tobias Menzies) from the 1940s who wants desperately to find her.

Outlander will return on Starz for the remainder of its first season on Saturday, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
