In a recent interview with Gotham magazine, Kevin Spacey, who plays Frank Underwood on House of Cards, stated that Bill Clinton had told him that most of what goes on in the show is accurate.

It is no secret that Clinton and Spacey are great friends, and it is very likely that Spacey might have even consulted the former president to get some aspects of his character and political life right. The actor told the publication that Clinton had told him that loved House of Cards.

The actor, who is famous for his impressions, put on his Clinton voice and told the publication about Clinton's approval of the Netflix drama: "Kevin, 99 percent of what you do on that show is real. The 1 percent you get wrong is you could never get an education bill passed that fast."

When asked why he made the move to television, Spacey said that it mainly had to with script and of course the genius of David Fincher.

"The script was fantastic, David Fincheris a genius, and I liked that it was a brave thing to do," he said.

Spacey's friendship with the Clintons was also used as part of a House of Cards spoof featuring Hilary.In August last year, Spacey was part of a fun spoof featuring Hillary Clinton, celebrating Bill Clinton's 68th birthday, in a House of Cards tribute to the former president.

In the clip, Spacey is in character as Frank Underwood and is seen in his office stating that he gets bored at the White House during summer and likes to play pranks on his predecessors. Then he dials up Hillary's office in New York impersonating Bill and asking her what she had got him for a gift. As she suggests that she hasn't decided yet, he tries to convince her to get him an elephant statue for the backyard. Soon enough he is found out as Hillary asks him to just sign his card.

Season 3 of House of Cards is available for streaming on Netflix.
