Things are about to get pretty bizarre on the season finale of Blue Bloods.

Tom Selleck Dishes On Frank's 'Personal Stake' On 'Blue Bloods'

On Tuesday, Carter Matt posted the synopsis of the episode that will air on Friday, April 24. An NYPD Deputy Chief named Donald Kent gets gunned down along with his wife in what appears to be some kind of gang hit. Frank then gives an order to make sure that the killer is found.

Danny and Baez are going to work on this case as they see Mario Hunt, someone who is part of a deadly gang.

Chatter On The Hitman Incident On 'Blue Bloods'

This leaves questions on what kind of information that the two guys will find and if the people involved will be served justice.

In a previous interview with TV Line, Tom Selleck (Frank) dished on a previous storyline when his character had to deal with a killer who murdered a family with one girl left alive. This was a situation that impacted the man due to how tragic the incident was.

"For cops, there's always cases that haunt them," Selleck said. "And in this one, he couldn't prevent a mother and father and five-year-old boy from being killed."

The actor then pointed out how Frank tends to have a different side to him when he's out of the public eye especially in that type of situation.

"It's always interesting playing Frank because what he would say at a press conference is not what he would say in private," Selleck said. "He had feels and opinions about this that probably are not things he could say publicly."

Blue Bloods airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
