While the tabloid media has been busy with rumors that the couple have called it quits after being together for nearly 16 years, a rep has set the record straight about the status of their relationship.

According to People Magazine on Wednesday, Hamm's publicist told the site, "The story that appeared in this week's edition of In Touch magazine is not true. The only gentleman Jennifer visited regularly in Connecticut was Jon, while he was in rehab. They continue to ask for the public's understanding and sensitivity during this challenging time."

Meanwhile, Hamm has opened up about playing Don Draper on Mad Men for seven seasons. The highly-acclaimed series will air its finale next month.

According to Variety, Hamm said that playing Don Draper "does not come without it's own difficulties."

He said, "It's not fun to live in this guy's headspace year after year. And [showrunner] Matt [Weiner] will tell you, the darkness in Don has not abated, it's gotten worse year after year. It's relentless. And it can be hard on you as a person. I love coming to work; I love the people I work with. But it's been rough."
