In a recent interview with MTV, Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the Fast and Furious series, spoke about what fans can expect from the eighth instalment.

What We Know So Far About Fast and Furious 8

On the evening of the MTV Music Awards on April 12, Diesel spoke to the entertainment website about what lies ahead for the franchise and how the memory of Paul Walker was very much still part of it. He was glad that Furious 7 as tribute to Walker was honored by the audiences. "The fact that the world embraced it and allowed it to be Paul's legacy, it's just a beautiful thing," he said.

The actor went on to reveal that Walker was the one who was certain of the sequel to Furious 7, and always affirmed it as fact.

Furious 7 Should Win Best Oscar, According To Vin Diesel

"Paul used to say that ['Fast & Furious'] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when you're brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," Diesel said.

He went on to place Walker in the next project beautifully stating that next film will be "from" him.

"So, if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it. 'Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.'"

On the evening of the awards, Diesel also sang a heart-rending cover of 'See You Again' while honoring Walker's memory.
