The first picture from the writers room of House of Cards featuring showrunner Beau Willimon and actor Michael Kelly was revealed on April 16.

Willimon posted the image, stating that Kelly, who plays Doug Stamper on the series, just dropped by and asked that he see Kelly's new van. This tweet was followed by the picture of the van which was branded "Stamper Electric Inc."

Around when it was revealed that the show has been picked up for a fourth season, Willimon had tweeted about how the writers were already busy at work on the storyline.

"Official - S4 of @HouseofCards announced. But the writers & I have been secretly writing for months hehe. @netflix," he tweeted on April 2.

The official announcement of the show's renewal was made via the show's offical Twitter account, with a promise to not let all of Frank Underwood's (Kevins Spacey) hard (bloody) work go to waste. "I will leave a legacy. #Underwood2016" stated the caption for the image announcing the return of the show. Season 4 will be premiere in 2016, the exact date has been set yet.

With this pic we can perhaps safely assume that Doug Stamper will be returning on the show in season 4. Stamper's character was presumed dead at the end of season 2 with heavy speculation surrounding his return in season 3. At least this time around there is no fatal cliffhanger regarding Kell's character.
