While there has always been so much buzz around Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta's (Josh Hutcherson) faux romance, and impending marriage, the movies don't shine as much of a light on Katniss' relationship with Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
A new Venture Capital report reveals that Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 might give fans more on that. Sourcing an interview with Lawrence in which she gave some insight on her relationship with Gale in Mockingjay Part 2, the publication suggested that the friendship between the two will be taken to a whole new level.
Here'a what Lawrence had to say about the couple:
"I loved that. Katniss and Gale have such a rich history, which we've never been able to fully, fully explore to the extent we do in this film. Up until now it always more about Katniss and Peeta. But there are so many complexities to Katniss and Gale and that relationship because before Katniss went into the Games, Gale was the only person who really understood her and knew her because they grew up together."
In other exciting news for fans, Variety recently reported that the movie will be the first in the franchise to be released in that format. Although Part 1 did not screen in 3-D when it was released in other countries, it's 3-D version hit theaters in China. Director Francis Lawrence is excited about the news.
"I'm thrilled Mockingjay - Part 2 will be in Imax theaters," Lawrence told Variety. "Fans will now have the chance to see the film in any format they want, which is exciting; we recently saw the 3-D version of Mockingjay - Part 1 before its release in China, and the new level of immersion was really fantastic."
The movie will hit theaters on November 20.
