Three new TV spots for Insidious 3 were unveiled on April 20 giving fans a glimpse at new demons in the movie.

The three clips are titled 'Awaken,' 'Family,' and 'Before' and they share a few frames but offer new footage all the same. Horrifying demons are introduced and some are seen harassing Quinn Brenner (Stefanie Scott). The bit about Quinn trying to reach out to her mom's ghost introduces most of the teasers and her father, Sean Brenner (Dermot Mulroney) is seen looking weary and anxious as his daughter gets sucked into the dark vortex of the further.

In a recent interview with Geeks of Doom, director Leigh Whannell, and actress Lin Shaye, who plays Elise, dished about what fans can expect from Insidious: Chapter 3

Insidious Chapter 3 To 'Dig Into Elise's Back Story

The duo addressed the most crucial question a lot of people have on their mind about the prequel to Insidious: how will it compare with the previous two movies.

While answering the question Whannell was humble, giving James Wan, the director of the first two films his due, and stating that he thought Wan was the best director in the modern horror genre today. Wan collaborated with Whannell, who wrote the films, for the first two Insidious movies and the Saw series. Whannell particularly complimented the Wan helmed The Conjuring. But he did say thatChapter 3 will be slightly similar to the original.

"I really think he's [Wan] a master of putting these scenes together. So I felt like it was a really big set of shoes to fill," he said. "So I just tried to equal. And I think, from what we've heard, it really does equal the first film in terms of those shocks."

Shaye was more generous about complimenting Whanell's work on Chapter 3, stating that the film will distinguish itself. She revealed that the difference of horror in the third instalment is different from the first two.

"There is still the traditional scares, and builds to scares, and builds to the jangles. I think it deals with the themes of human loss, and the way the demon, "The Man Who Can't Breathe," is almost a recognizable figure," she said. "Leigh talks to him as the embodiment of cancer, and I got to say, unfortunately, it gives me chills. Almost everybody in this room has had some brush of some element with that person, even though he is as evil as he is, there is some reality to who this demon is. It is not a red face demon. It is not a lipstick demon. It's not some guy with hooves, it is some real guy who has been in the hospital. I think that those elements on some level make it scarier in a different kind of way."

Insidious: Chapter 3 will hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
