The Young and the Restless has a lot going on with its characters currently, but the recently announced pregnancy of Mishael Morgan, who portrays Hilary on the CBS soap won't become part of the plot.

On Monday, Soaps in Depth shared its interview with the 28-year-old soap star about her expecting news.

She has made Hilary one of the most hated, yet loved characters on The Young and the Restless. Morgan joined the cast in 2013, but the mom-to-be news will not translate on screen according to a spokesperson for the daytime TV show.

Morgan and her husband are expecting their bundle of joy in August!

"We were actually thinking about planning a family this year... and it happened a little earlier than we anticipated," Morgan shared, adding, "But I'm the kind of person who wants things to happen when they're supposed to happen, and am open to it. So it was a happy blessing!"

The soap star doesn't know the sex of her baby yet, but will find out next month when she flies home to Canada for her baby shower.

"The only person that knows right now is my baker, who is baking me a cake," she revealed, adding, "Inside it's going to tell me whether it's a girl or a boy, so when we cut the cake at the baby shower, we'll all find out together! I thought it would be a nice way to celebrate that moment when we are all together, because not everybody is going to be there when the baby is going to be born."

She's hoping the inside will be pink since she wants her daughter to be older than her son so she needs to have a girl first.

"When I was growing up, all the boys that I liked and was attracted to and who always treated women amazingly were the ones who had older sisters! So I wish my girl would be first, but it doesn't really matter. If I have a boy and he becomes an older brother to protect her, that's good, too! I'm just very excited!" the actress explained.

Back in February she shared a photo of herself on her Instagram and she looked as though a tiny bump was forming, but it wasn't too noticeable, however, as her pregnancy moves along The Young and the Restless will be hiding her growing baby bump.
