Hayden's (Rebecca Budig) arrival in Port Charles and claims that she is Jake's (Billy Miller) wife have aroused many suspicions about the validity of her claims, and now, the best PI team in town is on the case to figure out her real story on General Hospital. 

Sam Demands Answers From NIkolas

Carly (Laura Wright) knows something isn't right with the situation but can't place her finger on it, and she has enlisted Spinelli's (Bradford Anderson) help to figure it all out. Though she was sure Ric (Rick Hearst) was the one paying Hayden to pretend she was Jake's wife, Spinelli assured her that wasn't the case after he saw someone else leaving her hotel room--but they can't place the man he saw because his photo didn't capture the guy's face.

Now, in an effort, to appease Carly with his investigation and hopefully turn up some answers quicker than expected, Spinelli will try reteaming with his former investigative partner, Sam (Kelly Monaco).

The Truth About Hayden & Ric Is Revealed

"What proof do you have that Jake is not this woman's husband?" Sam asks him in a preview clip for the Wednesday, April 22 episode.

What neither of them realizes yet is that they are on to something--but that Carly's inclination to believe Ric was behind the situation was also right. Ric is the one paying Hayden to pretend to be Jake's wife so he could have another chance with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst)--and the man they saw leaving Hayden's room was actually the guy Ric hired to pose in fake wedding photographs with Hayden as a pre plastic surgery Jake.

If they continue investigating however, they could possibly stumble across the truth--Hayden is not only a fake, but Jake is also Sam's late husband--Jason Morgan.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
