Sarah Hyland sounds like she's over the moon for her boyfriend, Dominic Sherwood.

On Monday, E! News posted the details from the actress who revealed how much she adores the guy she worked with on Vampire Academy where the two eventually started dating. Sherwood has also snagged a role on new TV series Shadowhunters, something his girlfriend is proud of.

"He's amazing. He's an amazing person," Hyland said. "We became such good friends on Vampire Academy. I'm so happy for him. It's an amazing time."

The Modern Family star graces the cover of Seventeen's May 2015 issue where she discussed some personal issues about how she grew up as well as the importance of moving forward when things are difficult.

"When you're feeling vulnerable, it can lead to doubt and second-guessing," she said, posted on News.com. "It will steer you away from your goals and your happiness. Once you have a goal, keep moving forward- even if you're taking baby steps."

Hyland also revealed that when she was born, she had a lot of health problems and doctors didn't have confidence that she would live an average life.

"I was born with so many health issues that doctors told my mother I would never have a normal life," she said. "And she said, 'You're right, she won't- but it won't be because of her health."

"When my mother told me that story, it resonated with me," the actress added. "If I can't have an ordinary life, I might as well have an extraordinary one. If you set your mind to something, you'll achieve it."
