'NCIS: LA' Season 6: What's In The Box? Shane Brennan Dishes On Densi Mystery

Summer hiatus will seem particularly long this year as viewers anxiously wait to see NCIS's very Special Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) make his first appearance in the City of Angeles.

The NCIS spinoff officially wrapped filming for season 6 on Wednesday, but the CBS series has a habit of tacking next season's premiere onto its May production calendar. A read through for the suspected season opener also took place on Wednesday, allowing fans to get a glimpse of Weatherly with the Sam (LL Cool J), Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Kensi (Daniela Ruah), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), and the rest of the Los Angeles cast.

'NCIS: LA' Season 6: Finale Plot Revealed, Callen's Search For His Father Reignites In 'Chernoff, K'

"Guess who's coming to dinner? #ncisla has a special guest star headed our way! #onlycbs," O'Donnell teased (see photo above).

Could this mean the NCIS: LA and NCIS premieres will be connected?

The reasons for DiNozzo's impending appearance are currently unknown. Despite already filming, CBS has not officially announced a seventh season for NCIS: LA.

NCIS: LA will conclude it's current run with "Kolcheck, A" and "Chernoff, K." Picking up Arkady's story from "Beacon," the OSP agents will delve back into the case of the Russia-bound oil tanker. When bodies of the crew start to surface at sea, Hetty's (Linda Hunt) team will have to head to the Motherland to find out more.

NCIS: LA airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' most recent episode.
