Saturday marked World Naked Gardening Day and apparently this is a holiday that people take very seriously as there is an entire website dedicated to it.

The website explores why people should garden naked and why the holiday was originally created.

"First of all, it's fun! Second only to swimming, gardening is at the top of the list of family-friendly activities people are most ready to consider doing nude. Moreover, our culture needs to move toward a healthy sense of both body acceptance and our relation to the natural environment. Gardening naked is not only a simple joy, it reminds us--even if only for those few sunkissed minutes--that we can be honest with who we are as humans and as part of this planet," the site reads.

Even more shock than the "official website" is the photos that people are posting on Instagram under the hashtag, #nakedgardeningday.

With nearly 200 posts on the hashtag, people are taking it extremely seriously.

One photo featured a man with a guitar that captioned his naked gardening photo: "Doing my bit for #naked #gardening #day yesterday. Plants do actually grow better to music.. lol #nakedgardeningday."

Another photo featured a woman sitting in fowers and plants as she watered one in the nude. She captioned her photo: "Today is national naked gardening day... So you know we had to do that. #mermaid#gardening #nakedgardeningday #potd #girlswithtattoos #freethenipple."

Another photo showed a woman picking a purple flower off of a large bush from behind with no clothing. The picture is captured: "Got home from the studio in time for the tail end of World Naked Gardening Day
