Welcoming a new baby to the world is always a family affair. While people still don't know the name of Prince William and Duchess Catherine's newest bundle of joy, it is known that the Middleton family has been on hand at the hospital and at home enjoying the royal couple's newborn daughter before the world gets to see another glimpse of her.

According to Hello! Magazine on Saturday, both Pippa Middleton and mom Carole Middleton were one of the first family members to arrive at Kensington Palace to meet the Duchess and her new baby as they made their way home after giving birth early on Saturday morning. The Duchess' father Michael Middleton was also spotted on his way to meet the new Princess of Cambridge.

The site said, "Having Carole, who showed William and Kate the ropes when they became parents for the first time in July 2013, by their sides as they adapt to their new family dynamic will be of great comfort to the new parents."

The site added, "Royal watchers, however, have suggested that Pippa may take a more active role with William and Kate's child and she is high on the list of potential godparents for the little girl."

President Obama and The Archbishop of Canterbury are among those to have express their congratulations from around the world.

There is no news yet on the name of the baby girl and it is not yet known when the name will be announced by the royal household.
