Agents Carter's eponymous heroine will move on with her love life while dipping into her distant past if the series receives a second season.

The fate of ABC's second primetime venture is still up in the air, but the series' uncertain future hasn't stopped Hayley Atwell (Peggy) from wondering what could await her character next year.

"If we get a second season, which is not being confirmed, we'd really like to look in Peggy's back-story to find out what made her the person that she is," Atwell told My Fanbase. "So we'd delve into her family."

As Peggy looks back on her childhood, the agent will also be thinking about starting a new family.

"There'd definitely be a love interest as that's relevant by the end of the first season," Atwell explained. "I think she's moved on now so that'd be about her moving on with her life and settling down with someone."

Will Agent Carter meet her future spouse next year? The question is just one of many on fans minds - a question that may never be answered if the Agent Carter doesn't receive a second season renewal.
