In a recent interview with TVGuide.com, executive producer Erica Messer for Criminal Minds spoke about the finale of season 10.

Preview Of 'Cliffhanger' Episode For Criminal Minds Season 10 Finale Unveiled

Messer revealed that they would be writing AJ Cook's pregnancy in to the show, and hints of the good news for JJ will emerge in the finale.

"It was a surprise that A.J. got pregnant - what a wonderful, happy surprise - so to also onscreen be able to give that to JJ after learning what she went through is great," Messer said. "[JJ and Will] have been trying again, but you'll see it's somewhat of a surprise for them as well, and what's also great is next season we'll be able to explore how [the miscarriage] affects her as she's carrying this baby."

The BAU Will Be Fighing For 'One Of Their Own' In The Finale

In the final episode, JJ's pregnancy will be hinted at as she shows similar passion, like Kate's (Jennifer Love Hewitt) to find Meg.

"She's very determined and you think it's her commiserating as a fellow mother, but by the end of the finale you know that she's having another baby," Messer said. "There'll be a nice little moment."

The season finale, titled 'The Hunt,' will bring back the criminal, "the creepy, internet stalker guy," the BAU was investigating in the first episode. The BAU will put all their force behind rescuing Kate's niece Meg.

The finale will air on May 6.
