The Bride of Hannibal won't keep a serious face all season long.

'Hannibal' Season 3: Romance & Blood For Lecter & Bedelia; Promo Teases Marriage & Disaster

Hannibal's Bedelia Du Maurier will share the cannibal's limelight as they gallivant across Europe in season 3. While viewers will have the chance to learn more about the psychiatrist and her odd relationship with the notoriously deadly Dr. Lecter, the pair's time on the lam will also give Anderson a chance to make the audience laugh.

"She has quite a big role in the first half of the season, and she's hilarious," series creator Bryan Fuller informed Digital Spy. "There's one episode in particular, episode six, where she is laugh-out-loud funny, and it's such a treat because you don't see a lot of comedy from Gillian Anderson in her roles, but she's very funny as a human being and incredibly funny as an actress when she turns it on."

The title for episode 6 has yet to be announced, but the installment will fall squarely into the first half of the season, earning it a cuisine-based name. Episode 6 will be followed by "Digestivo," the final episode before a multi-year time jump.
