Could Tom Brady's suspension from upcoming NFL games be overturned?

Gisele Bundchen Spotted One Day After Tom Brady's Suspension

On Friday, New York Times reported that the football star's lawyers are demanding that NFL Commissioner Robert Goodell recuses himself from the appeal in Brady's suspension from the games amid a Deflategate scandal that took place earlier this year. Apparently, the lawyers are willing to take this situation to court if Goodell isn't willing to let Brady back in the game.

According to the site, a letter from the NFL Players Association says that Goodell would be called as a witness in this case.

Tom Brady Was 'Generally Aware' Of Deflation Incident?

"The NFLPA believes that neither Commissioner Goodell nor anyone with close ties to the NFL can serve as arbitrator in Mr. Brady's appeal," the letter reads.

The New England Patriots player's punishment for the deflated-football incident required that he not be allowed to play in four games and he would not be paid. The team was also fined $1 million.

The team supposedly participated in the AFC Championship with deflated balls and according to Us Weekly, Brady was "at least generally aware" of this. There was also a 243-page investigative report, but the husband of supermodel Gisele Bundchen only had so much to say on that behalf.

"I don't really have any reaction, our owner commented on it yesterday," the athlete said in a Q&A session earlier this month. "It's only been 30 hours so I haven't had much time to digest it fully but when I do I'll be sure to let you know. And everybody else!"
