It's safe to say that the new episodes of Switched at Birth are going to be pretty epic.

'Switched At Birth' Creator Reveals When New Episodes Are Coming

On Monday, series creator Lizzy Weiss tweeted that there will be a "special" episode coming up that will be different from everything else that's happened in the past.

An Unexpected Pregnancy Is Coming To 'Switched At Birth'

This may or may not have to do with the upcoming pregnancy that someone will be having. There's no word on who will wind up expecting a child or who the father will be, but odds are likely it's going to be super impactful. According to E! News, something is going to happen that will be even deeper than Bay's sexual assault.

In an interview with Flavorwire, Weiss pointed out that some women were actually supportive of her putting the campus rape story on television- something she wasn't expecting.

"I was prepared for (some) women and rape survivors to be really angry that we were telling a story in which the act is not clearly labeled 'assault,'" the creator said. "But to my surprise, women (and survivors) are just really happy that we are putting the story out there and getting the conversation going."

Weiss also mentioned how the assault storyline was meant to be more complicated than it sounded.

"What we were reading about and hearing about were situations that were much more confusing to all parties involved about what really transpired," she said.

Switched at Birth returns to ABC Family on Monday, August 24 on ABC Family.
