Since Maya's (Kalra Mosley) secret went public things haven't been the same for those within the Forrester clan, and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will begin taking steps to ensure Maya doesn't become a future liability as well on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Maya Makes A Painful Decision About Her Future

Maya finally told Rick the truth about being transgender, just as her story wound up being exploited throughout all of Bill Spencer's (Don Diamont) publications, and despite Rick being okay with May'a past at first, the fact that it was causing embarrassment caused him to express some discontent--and Maya fled as a result. Since then, she has believed he no longer wants anything to do with her, he has been in a car accident, and Maya has tendered her resignation from Forrester Creations.

However, what she is unaware of is that Rick actually wants her to come back and still be a part of his life--but after the amount of scandal Maya's secret has heaped on the family and the company, Brooke will warn her son that his relationship with the model will no longer be tolerated.

The Fallout From Maya's Secret Going Public Is Extensive

"Maya's done enough damage and I don't intend to tolerate her doing any more," she says to him in a preview clip for the Thursday, May 21 episode.

However, Rick may continue trying to make a case for not only his relationship, but for his getting back into the CEO chair at Forrester to handle the potential damage--only to shockingly be met with more resistance from his mother.

"You need to step back, you need to take a breath," she says. "You need to really re-evaluate this whole situation."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS
