It looks like Lady Gaga might be keeping her blonde locks going into FX's American Horror Story: Hotel.

Max Greenfield (AKA Schmidt From 'New Girl') Is Checking Into 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

Gaga posted a photo on Twitter Friday featuring herself sitting in a luxury car. She is wearing a blue outfit while sporting some shades and long blonde hair.

"I heard you called for a blonde @MrRPMurphy #AHSHotel", she wrote in the caption of the photo.

The photo was retweeted and favorited tens of thousands of times.

Based on Gaga's comment, it would seem like her character in Hotel may be a blonde. The comment also brings to mind the beloved suspense/horror director Alfred Hitchcock, who is famous for casting blonde actresses as the leads in his movies. Gaga actually made reference to three of his movies in her song "Bad Romance," name-dropping Psycho, Vertigo and Rear Window.

Fans are continuing to speculate about what Gaga's role will be in AHS: Hotel. There has been no indication as to who she will be playing, though Ryan Murphy has said that Angela Bassett is joining Gaga in the ballroom in the new season. This may mean that Gaga is playing a singer, which certainly plays to her strengths.

Gaga is joining an all star cast that includes Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson, Chloë Sevigny and Max Greenfield. Production is set to begin in the summer.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
